WPS Community Healing Project - Caregiver Listening Session #2 - Tues., Nov. 17 at 6:30pm

Join WPS and Dr. Charmain Jackman for collaborative caregiver listening sessions to help listen, learn, and rebuild trust across our school community. The project has launched and one of the two listening sessions has been held. Thank you to everyone who attended the first session either in person or remotely!
The Watertown Public Schools Community Healing Project is a collaborative partnership with (InnoPsych) and Dr. Charmain F. Jackman, Ph.D., designed to listen, learn, and rebuild trust across our school community.
Following leadership transitions in special education and a recent external audit, WPS leadership is committed to transparent communication, honoring lived experiences, and co-creating a collaborative path forward centered on care, respect, and equity. As part of this ongoing effort, Dr. Jackman will be facilitating two caregiver listening sessions to gather first-person accounts:
- Session 1 (Hybrid - Completed ): Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Held during the Office of DEIB 2026 Fall Meet and Greet for Caregivers of Neurodivergent Children and Children with Disabilities.
- Session 2 Virtual Listening Session (Remote): Tuesday, November 17, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. (Note: As SEPAC is currently in the process of rebuilding, we are utilizing the time slot previously set aside for the November SEPAC general meeting for this session.
