Extended Day Program

The Extended Day Program provides a safe, nurturing environment after school for children in Kindergarten through Grade 5 from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM daily and Pre-Kindergarten students from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM daily. Activities are provided that challenge each child to explore, discover, create, and grow. The Program offers additional enrichments during conference days and early release days.

 

2024-2025 School Year Extended Day Program

The initial registration period for new student registration for the 2024-2025 Before School and Extended Day Programs for incoming grade K-5 students closed at 11:59 PM on Sunday, June 23, 2024. 

The Extended Day Programs at the Cunniff, Hosmer, and Lowell Elementary Schools are enrolled to capacity for all grades K through Grade 5.  The PreK Extended Day Program is offered at the Hosmer School only and is also enrolled to capacity.  There is currently an active waitlist for these programs.  Please scroll down to view detailed instructions on how to register your student and activate their registration.

Registration and Enrollment Information for the 2024-2025 Extended Day Programs

Is there space to enroll my student in The Extended Day Program for the 2024-2025 school year?

  • The Extended Day Programs at the Cunniff, Hosmer, and Lowell Elementary Schools are enrolled to capacity based on our current staffing for all grades PreK - Grade 5.  There is an active waitlist for these programs.  

How can I add my student to the waitlist for The Extended Day Program for the 2024-2025 school year?

  • If you would like to add your student to the waitlist you must register them AND pay the registration fee.  
  • To register your student, please click on the school-specific registration link below.  
  • Once you submit your online registration form you will receive an email from the email address “Google Forms” with a copy of your registration form.  Please check this and review your submission to ensure it is accurate.  If you notice errors in your registration form, please submit a new corrected registration form.  We will honor your most recent registration form and discard any older, prior registration forms received.  Sometimes the email from “Google Forms” can go to your junk or spam folders, please make sure to check these. 
  • To activate your student's registration there is a one-time, non-refundable, per student registration fee of $100.00.  Your student's registration is not considered complete until the registration fee is received.  Registration fee payments can be made online or by check or money order.  Full payment instructions are listed below for each payment method.  
  • Once both your online registration form and registration fee have been received, you will receive an email within 5 school days confirming your student has been added as an active student on the program waitlist. If and when a space becomes available, we will reach out to you via email to the email address(es) you provided on your registration form to offer you a space.  Please make sure the email address(es) you provide are ones that you check regularly as space offers are time-sensitive.  
  • Please note that there is no guarantee that a space will become available for your student in the program.  If you are not offered a space in our program this year, the registration fee will show as paid for future years if you wish to register your student for our program.  If you wish to register your student for the program again in future years, you must complete a new registration form each year.  You will not need to pay the registration fee again.

How do I make a registration fee payment online?

  • To make a payment online, please visit the City Hall Systems payment platform.
  • You will be prompted to Enter Your Municipality. Begin typing Watertown, MA and select Watertown, MA from the drop down menu below once it appears.  Select View/Pay Bills to proceed.
  • On the Select Your Bill page, select Community Education from the vertical menu on the left hand side on the screen. 
  • Select  Extended Day Program (K-5) *If you are registering for PreK Extended Day, you’ll also select Extended Day Program (K-5)
  • Select the Program You Would Like to Make Payment For *If you are registering for PreK Extended Day, you’ll also select Hosmer Extended Day Program (K-5)
  • If you are making a registration fee payment, select the Custom Tuition Amount then enter $100.00 in the Total Payment box and proceed with completing the rest of the form and adding it to the cart.  
  • Enter Student First Name
  • Enter Student Last Name
  • Enter Parent Guardian First & Last Name AND fill out all required Contact Information fields
  • Select Add to Cart
  • From here, you can either select Add Additional Items to Cart OR Proceed to Checkout

 

How do I make out my registration fee payment if paying via check or money order and where do I drop it off?

 

  • Check or money orders should be made payable to the City of Watertown.
  • For all payments, please make sure to include your student’s full name and program code on the memo line. Program codes are as follows:
    • Cunniff Extended Day is CEDP
    • Hosmer Extended Day is HEDP
    • Lowell Extended Day is LEDP
    • PreK Extended Day is HEDP-PK
    • Before School Program is BSP

 

  • If submitting your payment via check or money order, your payment should be dropped off in the payment box located in the Phillips Administration Building parking lot. You can find this parking lot by putting 31 Marshall Street into your gps. The payment drop-off box is located next to the stairs leading into the building from the parking lot.   • Please do not drop payments off your school’s main office.
