Selection Process: ( for Teachers/staff: )

Candidates will be interviewed by staff and principals.

Final decision will be made by building principal.


For Curriculum Coordinators:

Candidates will be interviewed by staff and assistant superintendent.

Final decision will be made by assistant superintendent.


For Specialists Teacher, Guidance Counselors, Technology Staff:

Candidates will be interviewed by committees that may include the administrator responsible for the department, principals, and staff. Final decisions will be made by the principal.


For Administration searches (Principals & Central Office Administration):

The decision-maker for these positions is the Superintendent of Schools.
An advisory committee will meet with the qualified candidates and advise the Superintendent on the final appointment.


Advisory committees vary in composition, but may include: staff, parents, community representatives and students.


For Department coordinators/directors:

Candidates will be interviewed by committees that may include the Assistant Superintendent, staff, principals, and parents.


Final decisions on building-based positions will be made by the principal.
Final decisions on district-wide positions will be made by the Assistant Superintendent.


For Athletics/Coaches:

Candidates will be interviewed by the Director of Athletics, the High School Headmaster or Middle School Principal and committees that may include staff, parents, and students. Final decisions will be made by the high school headmaster or the middle school principal.


For/by Support Personnel:

Candidates are interviewed by appropriate office director, coordinator, or administrator and building principal.


Some support positions require compliance with civil service procedures.
The final decision is made by the building principal, on recommendation from the office director, coordinator, or administrator.
